Farmers protest power cuts at sub-station in Asifabad

ASIFABAD: Farmers in Asifabad district's Koutala mandal staged a protest at the Gundai substation, expressing frustration over frequent power cuts.

The daily outages, lasting 3 to 4 hours, have caused significant distress, with many farmers claiming that their crops are wilting due to insufficient irrigation. Unable to bear the impact of the electricity cuts on their livelihoods, the farmers organised a demonstration outside the substation. From there, they conducted a rally that extended to the local market, hoping to draw attention to their plight.

The protesting farmers demanded immediate action from the authorities to ensure a stable power supply, warning that further disruptions could severely affect their harvest.
