Five-year-old girl killed by school bus in Dundigal

HYDERABAD: A five-year-old girl died after a school bus ran over her in Mallampet, Dundigal on Friday.

The incident took place when the first-grade student, Mahanvita, was disembarking from the bus. She slipped and fell, leading to the fatal accident.

According to initial reports, the school management informed the parents that Mahanvita had slipped from the bus and died. However, there were allegations that the school management tried to mislead the parents and authorities regarding the incident. It was also reported that the bus driver was sent away from the accident site immediately after the tragedy.

Police have registered a case and began investigation.
