General Elections 2024 in 7 phases; AP Assembly; AP, Telangana polling on May 13, counting June 4

The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the Lok Sabha election 2024 schedule on Saturday. With the announcement, the Model Code of Conduct has come into force.

NEW DELHI: The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the Lok Sabha election 2024 schedule at a press conference in Vigyan Bhawan here on Saturday. With the announcement, the Model Code of Conduct has come into force. The election will be held in seven phases.

 

Rajiv Kumar, Chief Election Commissioner, and Election Commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and Dr Sukhbir Singh Sandhu addressing media at Vigyan Bhavan said that Lok Sabha elections in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh would be held during the fourth phase simultaneously along with the Assembly by-election in Telangana and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.

 Assembly elections in AP would be held on May 13, 2024, and the counting of votes would be taken on June 4, 2024. Results of the general elections would be released on June 4, 2024
