HYDERABAD: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) food safety officials inspected the Taj Mahal Hotel in Abids on Wednesday, uncovering several hygiene violations. The officials found unsanitary conditions, including the presence of cockroaches in the food storage area and improper cleanliness practices.
The hotel management was issued a show-cause notice for failing to maintain hygiene and proper sanitation standards. According to GHMC Health Additional Commissioner Pankaj, a complaint prompted the inspection after a customer found a cockroach in a dal dish on Tuesday.
Further will likely be taken based on the hotel's response to the notice.
