Harish Rao assures autorickshaw drivers in Bhadradri, to demand monthly assistance from Government
Autorickshaw drivers told him that they were unable to pay the EMIs on the loans taken to purchase the three-wheelers after the Congress Government started the free bus service scheme for the women.
BHADRACHALAM: Autorickshaw drivers in Bhadrachalam met former Minister T Harish Rao and poured their woes onto him. They met Harish Rao while he was returning from the Sri Seetharama Swamy temple on Saturday morning. Harish Rao had darshan and offered special prayers at the temple.
Autorickshaw drivers told the BRS leader that they were unable to pay the EMIs on the loans taken to purchase the three-wheelers after the Congress Government started the free bus service scheme for the women.

“The free bus scheme has hurt the autorickshaw drivers very badly. I heard that so far 10 drivers committed suicide unable to repay the loans,” he observed. He said that the BRS would take up the issue in the ensuing budget session of the State Assembly and would demand monthly financial assistance of Rs 10,000 for the autorickshaw drivers.
Urging the autorickshaw drivers not to make hasty decisions, promised them that the BRS would be with them till their demands were met by the Government.
