SIDDIPET: Former minister and MLA T Harish Rao has strongly condemned the recent dismissal of 6,200 part-time teachers, lecturers, and DEOs working in Social Welfare Schools. He described the action as unjust and criticised the government for treating these teachers.

"For three months, salaries have not been paid, and when asked, they are being dismissed from their jobs. Is this your 'Praja Palana'? Is this the Indiramma Rajyam you promised?" he questioned.

He further criticised the Congress government for leaving the families of the teachers devastated by terminating them in the middle of the academic year. He added that the government has jeopardised the lives of teachers who shape students' future. He also highlighted the uncertainty faced by thousands of students due to the government's negligent and senseless decision.

Harish Rao demanded the immediate reinstatement of the dismissed part-time lecturers, teachers, and DEOs and urged the government to promptly pay the three months of overdue salaries.
