“The Chief Minister wants to provide the best diagnostic services all over the state so that patients do not have to visit Hyderabad for medical tests,” he said.

He said all these laboratories were accredited to the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare (NABH) confirming national and world standards. He said that so far 10 crore diagnostic tests of 57 lakh patients were completed at the T Diagnostics centres.

All the primary health centres were also linked with the diagnostic centres in district headquarters so that the test results could be easily shared with the specialist doctors located at different locations for their medical opinion.

The minister said that these diagnostic centers offered 57 different pathology tests in addition to X-ray, UCG, ECG, 2 D Echo, Mammogram and other radiology diagnostic tests. “As all the tests are done free of cost patients who were earlier afraid of taking specialist opinion fearing exorbitant costs, are now going for diagnostic tests reducing morbidity,” Harish Rao said.
