Harish Rao opens Sangareddy municipal complex

HYDERABAD: Telangana's Health and Finance Minister T Harish Rao laid foundation for the development work of the Sangareddy town centre, for which Rs 50 Cr was sanctioned by the Telangana Government on Tuesday.

He laid the foundation stone for the BC Girls College hostel and visited a science museum. The Sangareddy Municipal Complex and a 'Basti Davakhana' at Chinthalapally were inaugurated.

Harish Rao also inaugurated two water tanks built under the initiative of the State Government to provide drinking water to all households. For this, Rs 15 Cr were sanctioned by the TS Government. The minister also visited the 'Space on Wheels' bus that arrived in the district and discussed various issues with the scientists of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

Minister Harish Rao, while addressing the public, said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao specially allocated Rs 50 Cr for Sangareddy and said that tenders for development works would be released soon.

Harish Rao said that two more tanks would be built under the drinking water scheme in Sangareddy. . He said that there was no shortage of drinking water in the Sangareddy Municipality. The minister further added that a medical college with a capacity of 650 beds would be constructed at an investment of Rs 500 Cr. He said that the medical college would be inaugurated soon and also said that more Basti Davakhanas would be opened in Sangareddy.

Harish Rao also said that opposition parties were playing dirty politics when there were floods in the State. He said that the State BJP leaders, being the leaders of the double engine government, were of no use during the floods. The minister said that while the TRS leaders had come onto the roads to help flood-hit areas the opposition parties did nothing to help.

The finance minister also fumed at the Centre for waiving off the Rs 22 lakh Cr loans of Nirav Modi, Lalit Modi and Vijay Mallya.
