HYDERABAD: The twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad were again hit by heavy rains on Friday evening, leading to flooding in several low-lying areas. The downpour caused significant waterlogging on the roads, making it difficult for commuters to navigate. Several parts of the city experienced severe traffic jams due to the water accumulation.

The city witnessed scorching heat earlier in the day, but by 4 PM, the skies turned cloudy. By 5 PM, heavy rainfall began in areas such as Panjagutta, Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Madhapur, Gachibowli, Kondapur, Mehdipatnam, Lakdikapul, Begumpet, Hussain Sagar, Secunderabad, Tarnaka, LB Nagar, and Habsiguda.

The heavy rain also disrupted power supply in several localities, causing inconvenience to residents. Many areas were left without electricity, adding to the troubles caused by the sudden weather change. The authorities are working to restore normalcy, but the rains have continued to impact daily life in the city.
