Heavy rains lash central Telangana, Hyderabad in early hours

HYDERABAD: Very heavy rains ranging from 115.60 mm to 204.40 mm lashed the entire central Telangana and 20 circles of the GHMC area in Hyderabad in a span of four hours during the wee hours of Wednesday.
According to Telangana Weatherman, Siddipet, Medak, Sangareddy, Thoguta, Maddur, Havelighanpur, Jaipur, Yalal, and Raikode mandals received very heavy rains. Damera, Kondapak, Watpally, Akkannapet, Nekkonda, Dharmasagar, Madgul, Siddipet (Urban) and Chilipched received heavy rains ranging from 64.50mm to 115.50 mm.
On the other hand, Rejendernagar, Mehdipatnam, Ramachandrapuram, Secunderabad, Santoshnagar, Karvan and Malakpet were among the 20 circles in Hyderabad that received moderate category rains ranging from 15.64 mm to 64.40 mm.
The IMD Hyderabad centre has issued a thunderstorm and lightning warning asking people to keep a watch on the weather conditions as the rains could be accompanied by gusts of winds of around 40 km.
Heavy rains were predicted in Hyderabad, Adilabad, Jagtial, J Bhupalpally, Jogulamba Gadwal, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar, Medak, Malkajgiri, Mulugu, Nagarkurnool, Narayanpet, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapally, Sircilla, Rangareddy, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Vikarabad and Wanaparthy districts.
More rains forecasted
The Telangana Weatherman forecasted more rains for Telangana starting from late afternoon on Wednesday. Widespread heavy rains will lash all through the night and into the morning. The hyderabad city will also receive good rains on Wednesday night for the second consecutive day.
