Heavy rains predicted in Telangana for next three days due to low pressure
Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely on September 9 and 10.
HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in Telangana for the next three days, influenced by a low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal. The department issued warnings for thunderstorms accompanied by winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 km/h in many districts on September 9, 10, and 11.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in several districts on September 8 and 9, while on September 10, isolated heavy rains are likely across the state.
Districts like Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, and Mahabubabad have been identified as areas likely to experience very heavy rainfall.
Additionally, heavy rainfall is forecasted in the districts of Adilabad, Jagtial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Suryapet, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri during the same period. The authorities have urged residents in these areas to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
