HYDERABAD: In a shocking turn of events, a young couple was wrongfully detained by Hyderabad Police during a protest crackdown near the Telangana State Public Services Commission (TGPSC) office in Nampally, Hyderabad. The incident, captured on video, has gone viral on social media, sparking widespread outrage and condemnation of the police's actions.

The couple, merely passing by the protest site, found themselves detained by the police, who were aggressively suppressing a protest by hundreds of BRS activists and unemployed youth on Friday. The police swiftly arrested protesters as they arrived, but in their overzealous actions, they mistakenly detained the innocent couple.

The video clip shows the man arguing with the police, saying, "I'm just passing by along with my wife. Are we not allowed to do so? What kind of government is this which cannot differentiate between activists and regular couples? Why are we being arrested? Are we terrorists or robbers?" His wife also voiced her frustration, accusing the police of harassing common people in the name of maintaining order.

Instead of being apologetic, police maintained a visibly arrogant attitude with the couple.
