If anyone can oppose BJP, it's only KCR: KTR
KTR slammed the BJP for failing to deliver significant projects to Telangana despite being in power for ten years
HYDERABAD: Former Telangana minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao, said on Tuesday that even if Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA alliance contest 400 seats, they won't secure more than 200 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.
KTR, who participated in the roadshow of BRS Chevella MP candidate Kasani Gnaneshwar in Rajendranagar, said, "The Congress party won't manage to secure more than 100 to 150 seats. They deceived people before the Telangana Assembly Elections and are attempting to deceive them again ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections by promising loan waivers by August 15.
"BRS aims to win 12 out of 17 MP seats in Telangana. With NDA likely to secure no more than 220 seats and UPA no more than 150 seats, if BRS wins 12 seats, both NDA and UPA will turn to KCR. Therefore, I urge all party workers to strive hard and secure the majority of seats in these Lok Sabha elections for the BRS," he added.
KTR slammed MP Ranjith Reddy and former minister Patnam Mahender Reddy for deceiving the BRS after the BRS lost power. He emphasised the need to support Kasani Gnaneshwar, who represents unity among different communities and stands up for the weaker sections in the constituency.
He further emphasised the importance of reminding people of Congress' unfulfilled promises, such as loan waivers and Rythu Bandhu schemes. KTR accused the Congress of deceiving people with false promises in both assembly and parliamentary elections.
"One instance of being deceived is sufficient. It's unjust to deceive after being deceived. If one is deceived a second time, it's the fault of the one who believed," said KTR.
Comparing the ten-year development of Telangana under KCR with the 100-day rule of the opposition, KTR highlighted achievements such as Rythu Bandhu, Kalyana Lakshmi, Rythu Bima, and KCR Kit. He emphasised KCR's contributions to the progress of Chevella, including the establishment of Vikarabad district and the removal of GO 111.
KTR slammed the BJP for failing to deliver significant projects to Telangana despite being in power for ten years. He accused the BJP of seeking votes by instigating religious hatred and reminded women of the increased cylinder prices under Modi's leadership.
KTR also questioned Vishweshwar Reddy about BJP's contributions to Chevella constituency and criticised Ranjith Reddy for joining the Congress, suggesting that it signaled the end of Congress's influence in Chevella.
"If anyone can oppose BJP, it's only KCR," KTR concluded.
