IMD issues yellow alert for Telangana on August 19, CM KCR postpones Medak visit

HYDERABAD: The Indian Metrological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued a yellow alert for a few districts of Telangana State on August 19, 2023.

According to IMD, heavy rain was expected to fall in isolated places on Saturday in Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Warangal, and Hanamkonda districts.

Light to moderate rainfall in some parts and light to moderate rains in many locations were expected in Telangana over the next three days.

The official visit of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to Medak district, slated for August 19, was rescheduled for August 23, 2023, due to the yellow alert issued by the IMD.
