Jitta Balakrishna Reddy, Mamilla Rajender joins BRS, KTR welcomes
He said that Jitta Balakrishna Reddy's return to the BRS party was like a son returning home after 14 years
HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama on Friday attacked the Congress and BJP, questioning why Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who developed the state and worked hard for Telangana's growth, should be dethroned from power.
Telangana Congress leader Jitta Balakrishna Reddy and TNGOs Association former president Mamilla Rajender joined the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on Friday at Telangana Bhavan in the presence of working president KT Rama Rao.
KTR welcomed the leaders and congratulated Jitta Balakrishna Reddy and Mamilla Rajender for their decision to join the BRS party. He said that Jitta Balakrishna Reddy's return to the BRS party was like a son returning home after 14 years.
The BRS working president said, "We should protect Telangana, which we all got through a lot of hard work and fighting. People who opposed Telangana are now teaching us morals. It is rather strange that Revanth Reddy, who was caught with bundles of currency, is challenging Chief Minister KCR to come to Gun Park.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Revanth Reddy are attacking Telangana's existence. Despite accomplishing so much for Telangana, Chief Minister KCR is being targeted by them. BRS is not anyone's B team, but rather its Telangana's A team 'Avval Darja Team'. Earlier, Revanth referred to Sonia Gandhi as a 'Bali devatha'; today, he refers to her as Devatha. The same Revanth used to call Rahul Gandhi a 'mudda pappu' (dumb); he now calls him a 'nippu' (fire). Should we adapt to whatever Revanth says?" KTR questioned.
While appealing to all the BRS leaders and Telangana freedom fighters to protect Telangana, KTR said, "This is a fight for Telangana’s self-respect and identity, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi claims Gujarati freed Hyderabad, whereas Delhi slave Revanth Reddy says if not for Sonia Gandhi, we would have begged alms at Birla Mandir or Nampally Dargah."
KTR criticised opposition for advocating for KCR's dethroning for his noble initiatives like Kalyana Lakshi and Shadi Mubarak, increasing per capita income, and safeguarding caste-based professions in Telangana.
The Congress party claims that they would get Indriamma Rajyam in Telangana, but it appears that it might get emergency days in Telangana and Rs. 25 or Rs. 200 pension, said KTR.
"People in the BJP believe Prime Minister Narendra Modi is God, and if they so much worship Modi let them have his portrait at home and offer prayers. The Congress party found five or six candidates for Chief Minister but failed to attract voters to support them. The next 40 days will be critical for Telangana. KCR will be re-elected as Chief Minister," KTR said.
He urged Balakrishna Reddy and Mamilla Rajender to mobilize all their friends and supporters to work for the BRS.
