Kavitha terms ED notice as 'Modi notice', says it is politically motivated
Equating the ED notice to 'Modi notice' Kavitha said, "Yes I received the notice. I will hand it over to the BRS party legal team and act as per their advise. We will take legal recourse."
HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha has termed the notice served by Enforcement Directorate (ED) upon her as politically motivated. The ED had issued summons to Kavitha on Thursday, asking her to appear before it on Friday for questioning in the Delhi liquor scam. She was earlier questioned by ED in March in connection with the case.
Equating the ED notice to 'Modi notice' Kavitha said, "Yes I received the notice. I will hand it over to the BRS party legal team and act as per their advise. We will take legal recourse."
"The notice is politically motivated. It’s been happening for over a year like a saga. It’s protracted more than the 2G scam case. It looks like a never ending TV serial. It’s not big issue," she added.
Kavitha alleged that the BJP habitually does this in any poll-bound State.
"Since Telangana is going for polls, they are doing this. But people will see through the designs of the BJP," she said.
When questioned about alliances, Kavitha said, "We are not anybody’s 'B' team. We are Telangana people’s and Indian people’s 'A' team."
