HUSNABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is confident of winning 95-105 seats in the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections.

KCR sounded the poll bugle by addressing a public meeeting in Husnabad on Sunday, hours after releasing the BRS manifesto in Hyderabad.

Addressing a mega gathering, KCR said, "I started the campaign in last elections from Husnabad and we won 88 seats. This time also, people wanted me to start my campaign from Husnabad and I am here."

Listen to my speech carefully, discuss the truth in my speech when you back home. Elections come and go. We need to identify what is good for us. Vote changes our future, our State's future. Its very important that we decide whom to vote for on our own. Dont listen to others but decide it for yourself," KCR said.

Without naming the Congress, KCR tore into the grand old party and said, "One party is asking people to give them one chance. We have given them enough chances. Dalit children should also think about it now. After 75 years of Independence, we have poverty among Dalits. Qho is responsible for this? It squarely lies with those earlier rulers. If they had introduced schemes like Dalit Bandhu, we would have progressed a lot."

Reiterating his promise earlier in the day regarding increase of pensions in the BRS manifesto, KCR said, "Pensions were given earlier too but it was around Rs 200. I wanted to increase it but my officers suggested to hike it to Rs 400 or Rs 450. But I argued that that those pensioners who need help and those who become dependent on others due to various reasons like accidents, deaths, or any such incidents, the society must take care of them. Hence I increased pensions to Rs 1,000 per month. We increased them to Rs 2,000 per month. Now we will increase it Rs 5,000 per month. This is not for votes."

Speaking about how Husnabad has changed after the BRS Government came to power, KCR said, "Look at how Husnabad has changed. It was drought prone. We dug borewells upto 1,000 ft and there was not a single drop of water in rivulets. I then told my MLAs that if I see any woman carrying water pots on road, I will suspend you. In the last 5 years, we have worked hard and brought water from Mid Manair dam. Power supply is also good now."

Sharing his vision for Husnabad, KCR promised, "You are all witnesses to the developments. I will take responsibility of completing Gowravelly project on a war footing after coming back to power. I take up that respoinsibility to complete it in five to six months. I will aslo complete the construction of Shanigaram canal and beautify the Kothakonda Veerabhadra Swamy temple, Sidddipet-Yellakurti will become a state highway."

Asking the public to vote for BRS leader Satish Kumar, KCR concluded, "Today we will have to make Telangana as an example to the country. If BRS has to win 95-105 seats, Husnabad has to help. Vote for Satish Kumar with big margin next time also."
