KOTHAGUDEM: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to initiate action against Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy if the RR-Tax he was talking about in Zaheerabad is true.

He said this at a street corner meeting in Kothagudem on Tuesday the seventh day of the ‘Poru Baata Bus Yatra’.

“Prime Minister said that the Telangana Congress introduced an "RR tax," referring to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He must then hand over the investigation to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) or other Central investigation agencies,” KCR said.

But the Prime Minister won't take action on his younger brother Revanth Reddy, KCR observed. “Because they are the same. But there ends their story. During the Bus Yatra, I realised that people have decided to dump the BJP and Congress in the Lok Sabha elections. Wherever I travelled voters are blessing the BRS,” he said.

Addressing a huge gathering here, KCR said that the Revanth Reddy Government had plans to scrap the new districts created by the BRS Government.

“I have created the Kothagudem district to decentralise administration and bring it closer to people. Otherwise, people from far-off places of Cherla, Vajedu, and Dummugudem used to travel to Khammam,” KCR observed.

Recalling the tremendous growth achieved by the Singareni Collieries during his tenure, KCR said that he protected Singareni employees by enhancing salaries, increments, and bonuses.

“The Congress will sink Singareni as the ‘Bade Bhai’ Narendra Modi will hand the coal mines to private operators. When I was CM, Narendra Modi forced me to purchase coal from Australia from a firm, owned by Adani. I refused and didn’t purchase a single tonne of coal from Australia,” KCR pointed out. He added that BJP Government at the centre did nothing but stoke communal hatred in the Country.

The BJP-Congress combination if voted to power would install meters to agricultural pumpsets breaking the back of the farmers, he said. “ I fought vehemently against the nefarious plans of the Narendra Modi’s Government. But Revanth Reddy will ensure that the meters are installed,” KCR said.

Enlisting the schemes that the Revanth Reddy Government either scrapped or discontinued, KCR said that the BRS Government supplied drinking water to remote village Dongatopu of Pinapaka Constituency through Mission Bhagiratha.

“BRS gave three-phase power for tribal hamlets, gave the highest number of pattas to 1.55 lakh acres of podu lands, and distributed ‘Rytu Bandhu’ for podu lands. Through 1,100 Gurukulas and Rs 20 lakh overseas scholarships, we ensured that poor children also study abroad,” KCR said.

KCR expressed shock over the deaths of students in Gurukul schools due to food poisoning after the Congress Government took over the reins of administration.
