SIDDIPET: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) concluded his 17-day ‘Poru Baata Bus Yatra’ that he embarked on April 24, 2024, at Siddipet on Friday.

A massive gathering awaited KCR at the historic Ambedkar crossroads patiently as KCR completed the last leg of his yatra at Sircilla and reached Siddipet.

Remembering his attachment with Siddipet, KCR said that the constituency stood with him since he launched an agitation for a separate Telangana. “With your support, I never looked back. We achieved Telangana and developed it taking care of everyone without differentiating anyone,” he said.

He said that former Minister and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao ensured the Constituency had a railway connection, canal irrigation, and a medical college. “Now Chief Minister Revanth Reddy wants to scrap Siddipet district that I have created. We all have to fight against that move,” he said. He said that he fought for separate district status for Siddipet even when NT Rama Rao was the Chief Minister of the combined State.

Urging the people of Siddipet to vote for Medak BRS candidate and former IAS officer Venkatrami Reddy, KCR said that if elected he would establish a Rs 100 crore trust for educating students and also would construct seven function halls for the poor.

He said that both the BJP and the Congress have cheated the people with their false promises. He wanted the voters to consider the track record of the BRS and vote on May 13.
