VEMULAWADA: After inaugurating the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) at Rudrangi of Rajanna Sircilla district on Tuesday, Telangana's Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development K T Rama Rao said that the State Government was working towards the development of every sector in every corner of Telangana.

"Parts of other States like Maharashtra and Karnataka want to merge with Telangana because they are seeing the development and progress in our State. Leaders of other political parties only try to denigrate KCR and the BRS, but nobody speaks about the development that is happening here. We have sanctioned a 30-bed hospital for Rudrangi, if any opposition party builds a 100-bed hospital, we wouldn't stop that. But, they won't do it because all they do is defame the current State Government. The KCR-led Government will always work towards the development of the poor and weaker sections" KTR said.

He said that the newly inaugurated KGBV would get a new drainage system and a new approach road led to the school. KTR also announced that the junior college in the village would be renovated and a computer lab would be set up in 'banda meeda badi', a school in the village. As asked by MLA Chinnamaneni Ramesh Babu, KTR also said that money would be sanctioned for developing the roads and lighting in Rudrangi.

KTR said, "Be it schemes for farmers, like Rythu Bandu and Rythu Bheema, schemes for women, pensions, free electricity, irrigation, drinking water or education, the State Government is constantly working on making lives easier. Eight years ago, people were fighting for water and electricity, and family members had to go around to get money after a farmer died. Now, if a farmer dies the family gets Rs 5 lakhs within 10 days. Everybody is getting water and electricity. People need to focus on the development and the scope of development rather than criticising."
