HYDERABAD: BRS leader and former Minister Harish Rao has accused Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of misleading the House by saying that K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) came to power only after forming an alliance with the Congress.

Speaking during the Assembly session on Saturday, Harish Rao said that BRS leaders were never hungry about being in power as accused by the Chief Minister.

"I am trying to set things right. During YSR's regime, we gave up our Minister posts after just 14 months of coming to power. We resigned to protest the illegal transfer of water from the Pothireddypadu project to Rayalaseema region. We resigned to protest against the Pulichintala project, against Naxalites operations and fake encounters.

"KCR infact decided to take up the post of an MP only on the condition that if the formation of Telangana was included in the Common Minimum Programme," he said.
