KCR invited to Secunderabad Mahankali Bonalu

HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao has been invited to the Bonalu festival, scheduled to be held on July 17 and 18, at the famous Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad. Telangana Minister for Animal Husbandry Thalasani Srinivas Yadav, along with a delegation of the temple trust, met the Chief Minister at Pragathi Bhavan on Wednesday and extended the invitation.

Temple Executive Officer Manohar Reddy and temple trust Chairman Suriti Kamesh led the delegation.

On this occasion, temple priests blessed KCR by chanting vedic hymns.

The Telangana Chief Minister made Bonalu the state's official festival after the formation of the state in 2014. The festival is now widely celebrated across the globe.
