KCR nominates Hanmakonda ZP chairman Dr. Marepalli Sudhir Kumar as Warangal Lok Sabha candidate

HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief K Chandrashekar Rao has nominated Hanmakonda zilla parishat chairman Dr Marepalli Sudhir Kumar as Warangal (SC) Lok Sabha Constituency candidate.

Dr Sudhir belongs to the Madiga community and has taken part in the Telangana agitation since 2001. KCR decided on his candidature on Friday after discussing with the party seniors in Hyderabad as well as leaders from Warangal. The party has unanimously ratified Sudhir’s name.

Earlier, BRS nominated Dr Kadiyam Kavya, daughter of former Minister and Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Sri Hari. However, the father-daughter duo quit the party and joined the Congress.
