KAMAREDDY: No one cared about beedi workers in the past, and even though there are beedi workers in 16 states across the country, BRS working president K Chandrashekar Rao is the only Chief Minister who provides beedi workers with pensions, said BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Saturday.

"People should recall how much people have suffered in the past under the Congress regime due to lack of electricity in the state. The state has progressed significantly in the last nine-and-a-half years under the KCR regime," KTR said during a roadshow in Kachapur village in Bhiknoor mandal.

KCR's nomination in Kamareddy is a gift to the people of Kamareddy as he treats his constituency like a child. KCR, who won Telangana, had pledged to change the landscape of Kamareddy if he was re-elected for a third time, KTR said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hiked the prices of gas cylinders to Rs. 1,000, but BRS president KCR had promised to bear the burden of Rs. 800 and provide gas cylinder for Rs. 400 if he was re-elected for the third time, said BRS working president KTR.

If re-elected, BRS president KCR would offer a social security pension of 5,000 rupees, a pension of 3,000 rupees for all women above 18 years and a life insurance of Rs. 5,000 for each family, KTR said.

"The Congress says it will abolish the Dharani portal and reintroduce the patwari system, so we have to decide whether we need three hours of electricity or a patwari system. KCR should win the November 30, 2023 election and I appeal to all of you to vote for development by voting for the car symbol and make us win," KTR said.
