HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President K Chandrashekar Rao has urged the party candidates to shun ego to ensure a hassle-free election. He handed over two copies each of 51 B Forms to candidates at the Telangana Bhavan on Sunday.

“We have successfully completed the first list, as I assured you that most of the sitting MLAs will get renominated. And very few have to be changed. I am happy that most of you got renominated. Those who didn’t get a nomination would be accommodated elsewhere,” KCR said.

Explaining the reason for a few who could not be accommodated in the coming elections, the BRS chief said that even Vemulawada candidate Chennamaneni Ramesh was a winning horse but could not be accommodated due to legal problems.

“Jupally Krishna Rao lost because he failed to heed my advice to go and talk to a disgruntled party candidate. Candidates should play a key role in pacifying the party activists. Go to their homes and talk to them,” KCR advised the nominated candidates. Even great leaders could lose the best opportunities by ignoring the ground reality, he said.

Taking the recent legal cases filed against Srinivas Goud, Vanama Venkateswara Rao and others, KCR said that those who lost were trying to technically beat the BRS candidates. “There were strange judgments too, so we have a team of advocates and chartered accountants ready to assist candidates in filling nominations. That is why we are giving only 51 B Forms today that too two copies each even if something happens to one form, “the BRS chief said.

KCR said that Bharat Kumar of Telangana Dairy Development Coop Federation and his team would assist the candidates and he announced his number (9848023175) for the benefit of candidates in case of any doubt.

“Please consult him, because rules change every election. Bharat Kumar will be our link to ECI and a team of advocates and Chartered Accountants will be available there around the clock. A chopper is also kept ready,” he said.
