KCR, YS Jagan, Siddaramaiah, Stalin, Gandhis invited for Revanth Reddy's swearing-in

As Revanth recently won from Kodangal in the recently concluded Telangana Assembly elections, he has decided to resign as a Member of Parliament.

HYDERABAD: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Revanth Reddy who is all set to be sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Telangana on Thursday, has resigned as the Malkajgiri MP on Wednesday.

After receiving a call from the Congress high command, Revanth Reddy went to the national capital on Tuesday evening. As Revanth recently won from Kodangal in the recently concluded Telangana Assembly elections, he has decided to resign as a Member of Parliament.

Revanth will take oath as the second Chief Minister of Telangana on Thursday at the LB Stadium in Hyderabad. As part of the swearing-in ceremony, Revanth has extended invitations several prominent figures including Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, TDP president Chandrababu Naidu, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and its Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.

Revanth Reddy also personally invited AICC leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge to witness the swearing-in ceremony. Additionally, invitations were sent to the families of martyrs from the Telangana movement, the Chief Justice of Telangana High Court, leaders representing various castes, and intellectuals.
