ZAHEERABAD: The followers of BJP leader Konda Vishweshwar Reddy allegedly attacked a Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) activist besides vandalising his mobile phone store in Zaheerabad.

The incident is believed to have happened after the victim, Sandeep Sugandhi, called up former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy and requested his initiative for a train half at Zaheerabad Railway station.

Unable to take this in his stride, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy allegedly used his henchmen to harass Sandeep Sugandhi and even unleashed a maligning campaign against the BRS activist in WhatsApp groups.

Against this backdrop, the BJP activists on Wednesday attacked Sandeep Sugandhi's mobile phone shop with sticks and rods and destroyed the mobile phones in the shop besides threatening to kill him.
