HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao accused the Congress government in Telangana, headed by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, of attempting to mortgage 400 acres of land, originally allocated for IT industries in Hyderabad, to private finance companies.

KTR claimed that the government was seeking a Rs 10,000 crore loan by mortgaging the land, which could jeopardise future industrial growth in the region.

In a post on social media platform X, KTR expressed concern, saying, "The news that Revanth's government is planning to mortgage around 400 acres of valuable land, meant for IT and related industries, to private finance companies for a Rs 10,000 crore loan is worrying. How will new industries come if this land is mortgaged? I demand the state government withdraw this proposal immediately."
