HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao has made serious allegations against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of approving the Musi project purely for financial benefits.

During an informal media interaction, KTR stated that Rahul Gandhi was behind the HYDRAA project, using it as a means to profit at the expense of the poor.

KTR claimed that Rahul Gandhi, working behind the scenes, was responsible for the demolition of poor residents' homes in Hyderabad using bulldozers. He questioned Gandhi’s absence during the crisis, highlighting that despite previously declaring that he would come to Telangana whenever called, Rahul Gandhi has remained silent during this situation.

He further alleged that the Congress high command, in collaboration with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, was demolishing the homes of the poor just for "bundles of money from Delhi." KTR also hinted at revealing further details about the contractors involved in the Moosi project.

The BRS leader remarked that this was not a beautification project, but rather a "lootification" of the Musi River area, emphasising that the real victims - the families living in the area - were being ignored in favour of financial interests.
