KTR celebrates birthday with acts of generosity

HYDERABAD: On the occasion of his birthday, BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao demonstrated his generous spirit by celebrating with students of the Hyderabad State Home.

During the event, KTR distributed laptops to 100 students as part of the "Gift a Smile" program, bringing immense joy to the students. Additionally, he provided financial assistance to the families of 13 workers who had committed suicide.

KTR was accompanied by his wife Shailima, son Himanshu, daughter Alekhya, and State Home staff during the birthday celebrations. The students conveyed their birthday wishes to KTR and expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the laptops. The smiles on the faces of the girls who received the laptops were a testament to their happiness.

In 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, KTR decided to celebrate his birthday by helping others. This led to the inception of the "Gift a Smile" program. He invited his well-wishers, fans, party leaders, and workers to join him in this initiative.

Over the past five years, KTR has provided several ambulances, distributed tablets to 6,000 students for competitive exams, and supplied three-wheeled scooters to 1,400 differently-abled individuals. KTR mentioned that he had planned to give laptops to State Home students last year, but the elections delayed this initiative. This year, he fulfilled the promise he made last year. He expressed immense satisfaction with this program, which he has been running for five years.

Quoting elders, KTR remarked, "Birth and death are the only truths; everything in between is uncertain." He emphasized that such acts of kindness, which bring satisfaction to the heart, provide him with the greatest happiness.
