HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao predicted that both the BJP and Congress would struggle to reach the majority mark on their own in the 2029 general elections.

In a tweet, KTR indicated that strong regional parties would play a crucial role in the formation of the next Union government and likely continue to do so for the next decade.

KTR criticised the Congress party for its inability to fulfil guarantees made during election campaigns in Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, and Telangana, claiming that the party had managed to mislead voters in these states. However, he noted that the people of Haryana were able to see through what he described as Congress' "lies and propaganda."

He further warned that in today's connected world, merely offering promises without delivering on them could be disastrous for Congress in future elections.
