HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K. Taraka Rama Rao strongly criticised Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, accusing him of demolishing 75 houses belonging to poor and disabled families in Mahabubnagar’s Adarsh Nagar. The incident took place on August 29, when the houses were razed in the early hours without prior notice.

KTR condemned the action, stating, “Without any concern for the poor and disabled, you demolished their homes at 3 AM, without a single notice.” He questioned Revanth Reddy’s claim of being connected to Palamuru people and asked, “Did you become the Chief Minister just to harm the poor?”

Highlighting the previous BRS government's efforts, KTR pointed out that under GOs 58 and 59, the state had regularised land for the poor and distributed lakhs of pattas. He further criticised Revanth Reddy, asking him to explain why the homes of the disabled were demolished, and demanded immediate compensation by allocating double bedroom houses to the 75 affected families.

KTR also urged Revanth Reddy to take strict action against the officials responsible for the illegal demolition, calling for either their suspension or termination. He reminded Revanth Reddy of the past Congress government’s failure to value land pattas, adding pressure for swift corrective measures.
