Kuruva Vijay Kumar complains to DGP against Revanth Reddy, fears threat to life

HYDERABAD: The former member of the TPCC campaign Committee Kuruva Vijay Kumar on Wednesday complained to Telangana DGP Anjani Kumar saying that he had a threat to his life from TPCC president Revanth Reddy.

Vijay Kumar reiterated that Revanth Reddy had extorted crores of rupees from the MLA aspirants and challenged Revanth to take oath at Bhagyalakshmi temple in Charminar to prove his innocence.

Stating that he had worked for Congress for the last fifteen years besides playing a key role in the Telangana movement and being the frontrunner to contest from the Gadwal constituency, Vijay Kumar said that he was humiliated and suspended from the party. He expressed anguish over TPCC President Revanth Reddy's unilateral decisions.

Vijay Kumar further stated that he was being threatened by the Revanth Reddy followers for complaining to the ED to investigate the illegal assets of the latter. He accused Revanth of giving tickets to the newcomers for money ignoring those who worked for the Congress party and hatching a conspiracy to weaken the backward class leaders.

Vijay Kumar said that he had got a positive response from the DGP and opined that DGP Anjani Kumar would launch a probe into the allegations in his complaint.
