Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy takes oath as MLA

HYDERABAD: Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy, who has recently won the Munugode Assembly by-election on a TRS ticket, took oath as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) on Thursday. He was sworn in at a ceremony held in the Chamber of the Speaker of the Telangana Legislative Assembly. Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy administered the oath to Prabhakar Reddy.

Telangana Information and Technology Minister K Tarak Rama Rao (KTR), Finance Minister Harish Rao, Roads and Buildings and Housing Minister Prashant Reddy, MLAs and MLCs were present on the occasion. The Speaker also handed over the legislator's kit to the newly-elected TRS MLA.

Prabhakar Reddy emerged victorious in the keenly-fought Munugode Assembly by-election with an overall majority of 10,309 votes over his nearest rival Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy. He polled a total of 97,006 votes.
