HYDERABAD: A strict observer of traditions and sentiment, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao adhered to his lucky number six sentiment to hit a hattrick in the ensuing Assembly elections in the State.

The BRS President on Sunday, October 15, totalling 6 launched the election manifesto and gave away B Forms to only 51 candidates. Even though the party declared the names of 118 out of 119 candidates except Goshamahal, distributed B Forms to 51 totalling 6. KCR later at Husnabad announced that he would hand over B Forms to the remaining candidates on Monday.

Not only that, the BRS supremo launched his election campaign from Husnabad in Siddipet district on October 15. Affectionately called “Lakshmi Husnabad” by the BRS cadres, the Assembly segment proved to be lucky to the party in 2014 and again in the 2018 elections.

“I consulted the priest and he advised me that October 15, the first day of ‘Saran Navaratris’ is auspicious and a very good day to distribute B Forms,” KCR said. He also said that he has to sign a lot of forms as each candidate would be given two copies each as a precautionary measure.

KCR also attaches a lot of sentiment to Husnabad as the party secured 88 seats and came to power after he launched the election campaign from Husnabad in September 2018. It all started with KCR addressing his first election campaign in 2014 after the formation of the State from Husnabad and securing 63 seats to form the Government.

After winning the 2014 elections, KCR also preferred to take oath as Chief Minister of the newborn State exactly at 12.57 pm as numerologically, it adds to his lucky number 6 (1+2+5+7=15. i.e. 1+5=6). The party also believes that a third election to be held on November 30 totals to number 6, will once again prove lucky to KCR.
