Maha Lakshmi tops in 1.25-Cr Praja Palana applications, Rs 2,500 per month, Rs 500 gas cylinder most sought after

HYDERABAD: In all, there are 1,25,84,383 applications and 4,56,35,666 applicants for the different schemes announced under Praja Palana by the Congress Government in the state. Out of these 92,23,195 women sought the Rs 2,500 monthly payment followed by 91,49,838 women who applied for the Rs 500 per gas cylinder scheme under the main head of the ‘Mahalakshmi’ scheme.

Over 82,82,332 people applied for Indiramma houses, 81,54,158 people applied for 200 units of free power under the Gruha Jyothi scheme, 38,73,956 land owners applied for Rs 15,000 benefit under Rytu Bharosa (earlier Rytu Badhu), 2,63,616 tenants applied for Rs 15,000 benefit under Rytu Bharosa, 40,95,581 Rytu Coolies applied for Rs 12,000 benefit under Rytu Bharosa, 23,794 people applied for 250 square of land under the Telangana martyr scheme, 84,559 people who fought for Telangana applied for 250 square yards of land, 2,77,292 applications were received for pension under disables category and 22,07,245 applicants applied for pensions under other categories.

Out of the 1,25,84,383 applications received so far the data entry operators have completed uploaded data from 1,09, 00, 662 applications. While the GHMC area tops the list of districts with 18.97 lakh applications, Jayashankar Bhupalapally registered the lowest number of applications with 1.37 lakh applications.
