HYDERABAD: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Telangana president RS Praveen Kumar has said that the BSP and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) will be working together in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections as declared earlier.

Taking to X on Sunday, he said: “We immensely thank the national president of BSP, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mayawati for giving the go-ahead for advance negotiations on alliance with the BRS (which is not part of any national alliance) in Telangana for upcoming general elections-2024. Our Central Coordinator, MP, Ramji Gautam will arrive soon in Hyderabad to guide the party in this historic effort.”

Putting an end to speculations about the alliance's future, Praveen Kumar said that the BSP high command considered the BRS a fit alliance candidate as it was not a part of either NDA or INDIA blocks.

He further stated that there would be a joint statement soon about the seat-sharing arrangement during Ramji Gautam’s visit to Hyderabad. He urged the BSP cadre not to believe rumours
