MLA Danam Nagender booked for illegal demolition of a wall

HYDERABAD: Khairtabad MLA Danam Nagender has been named in a criminal complaint for his alleged involvement in the illegal demolition of a compound wall in Hyderabad. The incident occurred on August 10 in Nandagiri Nagar, Jubilee Hills.  

Police received a complaint from a local official stating that Nagender was present and encouraging a group who illegally entered the property and tore down the wall. The land in question is reportedly part of a government-owned open layout space.

A case has been registered against Nagender, his aide Gopal Naik, and other unidentified individuals. They are accused of trespassing, causing damage, and violating the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act. The estimated cost of the damage is around Rs 10 lakhs.
