SURYAPET: Election officials checked the caravan and other vehicles of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) when the vehicle entered the Suryapet district as part of the ‘Polam Baata’ tour programme.
The election officials along with police stopped the caravan at Edula Parre Thanda and entered the vehicle where KCR was occupying the front seat next to the driver. After explaining the reason why the vehicles were stopped they checked every part of the caravan including the personal bedroom of the BRC chief.
The officials let the caravan leave after completing their checks. The officials said that the checks were routine as the Model Code of Conduct was under implementation due to the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
