ADILABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has made critical comments against both the BJP and the Congress and predicted, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not get majority this time. Regional parties are going to rule in the future. There will be a coalition Government at the Centre in 2024."

Speaking at a public meeting in Adilabad on Thursday, KCR said that the Congress and the BJP were two sides of the same coin. He appealed to voters to not cast their vote for either of them. He asked the public to throw the BJP into the dumps for provoking communal violence in the State and that it was pointless to cast vote for the Congress.

KCR said that he didn't want Telangana to fall into the hands of inappropriate people who never thought of welfare of the people and added, "People should think if they want the BRS Government or the party (Congress) which is the primary reason for downfall of Telangana. Do you you cast your vote for someone else and for Jogu Ramanna (Adilabad BRS candidate) who does all the work? You have to choose an efficient leader. Do you want current or Congress, Rythu Bandhu or Rabhandulu (vultures)?," he asked.

Stating that the Congress was primarily responsible for 58 years of misery in Telangana State, KCR asserted that the BRS was completing all the works that were left pending by the Congress and that they were implementing numerous schemes that were not present anywhere else in India except Telangana.

The Chief Minister said, "Congress didn't fulfill many of its promises in their reign. Lower Penganga was sanctioned by the Congress Government but it was Jogu Ramanna who created history in Adilabad district by completing the works of the Chenaka-Korata barrage. During the Congress rule, not even 8,000 acres of land was irrigated but in BRS's ruling, thousands of acres of land is being irrigated."

KCR narrated all the welfare schemes that were being implemented in the State and urged the electors to vote for leaders who would work hard for welfare of the people and analyse the history of the candidate and their party.

The BRS President concluded, "In 10 years of the Congress's rule, only Rs 2,000 crore was spent for the development of minorities whereas the BRS Government has spent Rs 12,000 crore in a decade of its governance. We all celebrate Eid, Ramzan, Bathukamma, Diwali and all other festivals with much joy and happiness. We will strive to keep our Ganja-Jamuna Tehzeeb culture alive."
