Modi’s ‘poll bugle’ to sound like siren of train engine in Telangana, slew of programmes on Oct 1, 3

HYDERABAD: As a prelude to the campaign trail for Telangana elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is making his first pitch with a slew of inaugurations and laying of foundation stones for projects worth more than Rs.21,000 crore during his two visits to the State before the poll schedule is announced.
In a bid to avoid the restrictions of the Model Code of Conduct, the Prime Minister’s programmes have been scheduled by the Telangana BJP.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Telangana on October 1 and 3 will inaugurate and launch programmes worth Rs 21,566 crore. In Mahbubnagar alone, the PM will unveil programmes worth Rs 13,545 crore.
Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation the Rs 505 crore ‘Jaklair-Krishna’ line, under the Munirabad-Mahabubnagar section aimed at reducing the distance between Hyderabad and Goa by 102 km. Kacheguda – Raichur – Kacheguda’ demo service will be started from Krishna station. National Highways projects worth Rs. 6,404 crores will also be laid during his visit to Mahbubnagar district on October 1.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation for national highway projects to be built at a cost of Rs 6.404 crore. He will inaugurate the Rs 2,457 crore NH 365 BB Suryapet-Khammam four-lane project. He will dedicate the Rs 2,661 crore Hasan-Charlapalli HPCL LPG pipeline. This will help in the distribution of LPG to 37 lakh consumers. If connected to IOCL at Timmapur this line could cater to 35 lakh more consumers.
In yet another initiative, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation for the multi-product pipeline between Krishnapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad.
At the University of Hyderabad, the PM will inaugurate newly built schools of economics, mathematics, statistics, management and arts and communications, built at a cost of Rs 81.27 crore.
On October 3, during his visit to Nizamabad district, he will launch and lay the foundation for projects worth Rs 8,021 crore. They include Rs 6,000 crore, 800 MW power plant in NTPC. More than 85 percent of the power produced here will be utilised in Telangana. By the end of December, the second unit run with the ultra-supercritical technology will be ready, making power available to the people of Telangana at a much cheaper rate.
Under the expansion of medical care, the PM will lay the foundation of 50-bed critical care blocks to be built in 20 district centres under the PM-ABHIM scheme at a cost of Rs 516.5 crore.
Prime Minister Modi will dedicate the fully electric 348-km Dharmabad-Manoharabad-Mahbubnagar-Kurnool railway line built at a cost of Rs 305 crore. He will also inaugurate the Rs 1,200 crore, 76-km Manoharabad-Siddipet new railway line. The Prime Minister will also address public meetings in Mahbubnagar and Indur.
