My name is not listed in the FIR: Kavitha Kalvakuntla
Kavitha reaffirmed her commitment to upholding the law and her willingness to assist with the investigation
HYDERABAD: TRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha wrote to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) DIG Ranghavendra Vasta, stating that she had carefully reviewed all of the information, including the names of the accused listed in the FIR, but her name was not listed in the FIR.
She stated in her letter that she would be unable to meet with CBI officials even on December 6 due to previously scheduled events. She clarified that she would be available to meet you at her Hyderabad residence on any day between December 11, 12, 14, and 15. The date is expected to be finalised soon.
"I am in receipt of your e-mail, in which you have stated that the copy of the FIR as well as the complaint is available on the website," writes Kavitha Kalvakuntla in her letter to the CBI. I have carefully reviewed the contents of the FIR, the list of accused persons, and the complaint dated July 22, and wish to state unequivocally that my name does not appear in any way. Because of my busy schedule, I will be unable to meet you on the 6th of December 2022 as proposed; however, I will be able to meet you at my residence in Hyderabad on the 11th, 12th, or 14th of this month, whichever is most convenient for you. Please confirm the same at the earliest. I am a law abiding citizen and will cooperate with investigation. I will meet you on any of the above said dates to cooperate with the investigation. It is made clear that this is without prejudice to my legal rights available under law".
In a letter to the CBI, TRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha requested copies of the FIR that was registered based on the CBI's notices, as well as the complaint that was submitted by the Central Home Department. The copy of the FIR was available on the website, the CBI officers wrote back in response to the email.
Kavitha reaffirmed her commitment to upholding the law and her willingness to assist with the investigation. She wrote that a meeting would be scheduled on the aforementioned dates to assist with the investigation.
