Nagarjunasagar residents fume as taps run dry, Krishna water remains inaccessible

NALGONDA: The Congress Government is facing severe criticism from residents in Nandikonda Municipality in Nagarjunasagar area for not receiving drinking water in the region, despite the area falling under River Krishna basin.
The denizens complained that despite repeated appeals to the Government, the issue of providing drinking water remained unresolved as officials had consistently ignored their pleas.
Frustrated by their plight, people have now resorted to lining up water bottles and drums in front of their houses and pump sets. The situation had sparked anger among women in Nagarjunasagar, who feel neglected by both the Government and the ruling party leaders.
Expressing their dismay, residents lamented that politicians sought votes during elections but could not address the issues of access to water. They expressed concern over their suffering despite water flowing from the Nagarjunasagar dam.
