NALGONDA: Nalagonda district police seized Rs. 3.04 crore from two individuals while they were transporting at the Wadapally interstate border check post on Sunday.

Nalagonda police discovered unaccounted cash in a car seat and arrested two passengers. Police arrested Vipul Kumar and Amrsinha Jala from Gujarat for not obeying vehicle checking officer orders, rash driving, and hitting a person.

The District Collector and District Election Authority, who had set up a strict vigil and had so far seized Rs.9.13 crores, confiscated 11,162.35 litres liquor and other valuable possessions worth Rs. 23.10 lakhs during the vehicle checkings commenced after the Model Code of Conduct came into effect.
