Nikhat Zareen submits DSP joining report to DGP
Nikhat Zareen, two-time world boxing champion, has formally joined as DSP (Special Police).
HYDERABAD: Two-time world boxing champion Nikhat Zareen submitted her joining report as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) Dr Jitender on Wednesday.
Zareen, who has won gold at the Commonwealth Games and bronze at the Asian Games, recently represented India at the Paris Olympics.
Following the Telangana government's orders appointing her as DSP in the special police force, Zareen officially assumed her post. During the event, DGP Jitender, along with Additional DGP (Law and Order) Mahesh Bhagwat, extended their congratulations to Zareen.
DGP Jitender also took to Twitter to welcome her, highlighting her achievements and expressing pride in her new role, stating that her remarkable journey would continue to inspire the people of Telangana. Zareen hails from Nizamabad and is recognised for her significant contributions to Indian sports.
