NTR donates Rs 1 crore to aid flood relief in Telugu states
NTR donates Rs 1 crore to the Chief Ministers' Relief Funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for flood relief.
HYDERABAD: Tollywood actor N T Rama Rao Jr (NTR), known for his continuous philanthropic efforts, has once again demonstrated his compassion by contributing to flood relief in the Telugu states.
Heavy rains have caused significant loss of life and property across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Many people have been displaced, struggling with a lack of food and clean water. While the government intensifies its relief operations, the Telugu film industry has also stepped forward to assist.
NTR announced his contribution via a tweet, expressing his deep concern over the devastation caused by the floods. He stated, "The devastation caused by the recent heavy rains in the two Telugu states has deeply disturbed me. I pray to God that the people of Telugu states recover quickly from this disaster. As part of my support, I am donating Rs 50 lakh each to the Chief Ministers' Relief Funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana."
His generous gesture has received widespread praise from fans across the Telugu states. Social media is abuzz with calls for other Telugu actors to follow suit and contribute to the relief efforts.
Notable figures in the industry have already contributed. Prominent producer Ashwini Dutt has donated Rs 25 lakh to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Actor Vishwak Sen has also shown his support by donating Rs 5 lakh each to the Chief Ministers' Relief Funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
