One killed as tractor strays into padayatra of MLA’s son in Ibrahimpatnam

IBRAHIMPATNAM: One person died even as Prashant Reddy, the son of BRS MLA from Ibrahimpatnam Manchireddy Kishan Reddy, had a miraculous escape from an accident involving an over-speeding tractor late on Tuesday night. At least five of his followers were grievously injured in the mishap that occurred near Gadda Mallaiah Gudem of Yacharam mandal in Ranga Reddy District. One of them, Nerra Jangaiah (68) later succumbed to the injuries while receiving treatment at a hospital.
According to reports, the tractor strayed into a group of people following Prashant Reddy during his padayatra. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital in 108 ambulances.
Jangaiah, who was killed in the incident, hailed from Gadda Mallaiah Gudem. The condition of two other injured persons was said to be critical.
According to reports, the driver of the tractor lost control of the vehicle while returning from field work in Rangapur to Gadda Mallaiah Gudem. MLA Kishan Reddy visited the injured persons at the hospital besides consoling the family of the deceased. He asked the doctors to provide best possible medical treatment to the injured.
