KAMAREDDY: BRS party working president and Minister Kt Rama Rao (KTR) has said that opposition parties have backed out from contesting in the Kamareddy after Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) decided to contest from the constituency.

Speaking at a meeting in Kamareddy's Machareddy mandal on Tuesday, the BRS working president said, "People of Kamareddy constituency believe that the constituency will be developed after the Chief Minister's victory in the upcoming elections. It will receive Godavari water in the next nine months. Water will be brought from Maddimalla to Machareddy. The KCR Government is effectively implementing the 'Jal Jungle Zameen' (water, forest, land) vision of tribal warrior Komaram Bheem."

Reacting to the speculations of Revanth Reddy contesting from Kamareddy, KTR took a jibe at the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president questioning, "How can someone who could not win in Kodangal and fled from the constituency could contest at Kamareddy? People are ready to teach a lesson to Revanth Reddy if he is contests from here."

KTR also slammed the Congress and the BJP saying that people had to suffer as leaders of both the parties had to go to Delhi for any decision-making. He also questioned the credibility of the Congress which could not deliver in the State despite being in power eleven times. He reiterated that Telangana would once again start facing power cuts, abolition of Rythu Bandhu, Dalit Bandhu, etc, if Congress came to power.

The Minister said that the people of Karnataka were facing hardships in the Congress' regime and opined that the State's Deputy Chief Minister DK Siva Kumar's comments on power supply were proof of it.

KTR assured the people that the BRS Government would increase Asara pension, provide Rs 3,000 to every woman, and quality rice (Sanna Biyyam) for white ration card holders. He called on the cadre to work hard for the next thirty days and publicise the welfare schemes amongst the public.
