Panchayat Elections: Final voter list released for 33 districts in Telangana

HYDERABAD: The Election Commission of India has released the final voter list for the upcoming panchayat elections in Telangana.

The list includes a total of 1,67,33,584 voters across 12,867 panchayats in the 33 districts of the state. Among the voters, there are 82,04,518 men, 85,28,573 women, and 493 individuals from other categories. Notably, the voter demographics indicate a higher number of female voters compared to males in rural areas.

While the voter list is ready, the state government is yet to make a decision on reservations for wards and panchayats. The government has stated that the election process will only move forward once the reservation policy is finalised.
