NEW DELHI: With Assembly elections approaching nearer in Telangana, Janasena Party president Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed the BJP-Janasena alliance.
The duo interacted for almost 45 minutes in which BJP national president JP Nadda, Janasena Party's political affairs committee (PAC) chairman Nadendla Manohar, Telangana BJP unit president and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy and Rajyasabha member K Laxman were also present.
Almost a week ago, Kishan Reddy and Laxman held discussions with Pawan Kalyan in Hyderabad on the pre-poll alliance for the upcoming Assembly elections in Telangana. During the meeting, Pawan Kalyan told the BJP leaders that there was a pressure from his party cadre to contest in at least 30 seats in Telangana.
However, Pawan Kalyan did not share the insights of the meeting with Amit Shah to the media. Sources said the Janasena chief would stay for two more days in New Delhi to interact with the top leaders in the BJP to get more clarity on the seat share in the upcoming Assembly elections in Telangana.
